[Pretty Much] Everything You Need to Know About the Everpure H1200 System

Must read

Everpure has packaged the commercial-grade filtration technology they offer to restaurants and others in food service, making it available for individuals for home use.

The Everpure H1200 filtration system uses precoat filtration technology and Micro-PureⓇ along with a pleated filter membrane to remove a variety of contaminants and particulate matter as small as ½ a micron wide.

Improve the Quality of Water for Drinking and Cooking
The Everpure H1200’s operating temperature is between 35℉ and 100℉ and 10-125 PSI; it has a 1,000-gallon capacity. It’s recommended to change the filter annually or whenever the flow rate starts to drop. The H1200 is also easy to install and maintain, though the system requires a separate faucet.

The system itself consists of two commercial-grade metal canisters that are physically durable and resistant to bursting. The canisters are lined with a food-grade polymer that prevents the water from contacting the metal.

Micro-PureⓇ filtration material covers the entire inner surface of the cartridges, removing particulate matter .5 microns and larger, improving the appearance, taste, and safety of drinking water.

What Does It Remove?
The H1200 is certified to reduce a wide range of chemical and biological contaminants. Among other things it can remove:

● Lead
● Methyl tertiary-butyl ether, or MTBE
● Chlorine and chloramines as well as undesirable odors and flavors resulting from them (including chloroform)
● Volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) including trihalomethanes (THMs)
● Microbial cysts, such as those of Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and Entamoeba histolytica
● Can be effective for bacteriostatic control
● Dirt, cloudiness, and suspended particulate matter down to .5 microns
● Mold and algae
● Oxidized iron, manganese, and sulfides

The unique dual cartridge configuration extends the system life and ensures maximum reduction of contaminants. In addition, the systems leave behind vital minerals found naturally in water to improve the taste and quality of water; they also contain a special additive to help prevent limescale accumulation, which protects appliances if the filters are used to service them.

Note that the filters should be replaced yearly or when the flow rate diminishes. However, it should also be noted that water quality changes all the time, so don’t be surprised if you need to increase or decrease the frequency with which you change your filters.

What Certifications Has It Achieved?
The Everpure H1200 system has achieved several certifications. It has garnered the NSF Standard Number 42 for aesthetics, concerning the removal of particulate matter, tastes, odors, and chemical contamination.

The Everpure H1200 system is also NSF-certified pursuant to NSF Standard Number 53 for health effects for the removal of VOCs, MTBE, and lead, as well as the removal of microbial cysts.

Does It Come with a Warranty?
The Everpure H1200 comes with a residential warranty. Everpure provides a 1-year warranty on filtration systems, excluding cartridges, as well as a 1-year warranty on cartridges themselves.

Some sellers, such as efilters (efilters.net) also provide free lifetime warranty programs. For more information, visit the previous link.
