The Three Common Types of Vaping Liquids

Must read

Whether you are a habitual vaper or you own a business that requires you to have an assortment of vapor liquid wholesale products available, you need to know the various types of vaping liquid on the market today.

For personal reasons, you simply want to find the best kinds of liquids for you to enjoy day in and day out! As for those with businesses, you want your customers to have such a luxury– and keep them coming back for more of your vaping liquids in the near future.

Just as a quick aside, note that there are three interchangeable terms here that mean the same thing: e-liquid, vape juice, and vape liquids. All are the liquids used in electronic cigarettes and other such devices, which contain flavoring, nicotine, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, and other ingredients.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the three common types of vaping liquids to better serve yourself and/or your customers.

1. Nicotine Salt E-Liquids
These e-liquids are unique as they utilize nicotine salts in place of the commonly used nicotine from tobacco plants, which is found in the other types of e-liquids. Nicotine salts, also referred to as nic salts, tend to be a little less harsh for users to vape as they provide a higher amount of nicotine.

The most popular and overall most preferred ratio of nic salts is 50/50 PG/VG (“PG” stands for propylene glycol and “VG” stands for vegetable glycerin). However, there are other ratios available in nic salts as well.

2. Freebase E-Liquids
Freebase e-liquids are the other type of vape juice that is more “classic” than nic salts as they contain freebase nicotine, the original nicotine in e-liquids.

Nic salts aren’t the only e-liquid types to focus heavily on their PG/VG ratios. In fact, all types of e-liquids do along with their milligrams of nicotine content.

3. Tobacco Free E-Liquids (TFN)
TFN is a completely synthetically derived variant of tobacco. It can be noted that the throat hit is reduced and the nicotine itself has very little flavor.

TFN is becoming increasingly popular as it enables a very true representation as to what the flavor should taste like. Most consumers like the reduction in throat hit, although some prefer tobacco derived variants, as it replicates the sensation of a cigarette. TFN is available for use cases as a replacement to salt nic or freebase e-liquid. This being said the VG/PG ratio can vary from 50/50 to 90/10

What exactly is the importance of this ratio? Ultimately, the higher the level of PG, the harsher the hit, the stronger the flavor, and the less amount of clouds you can produce. Meanwhile, on the other side of the spectrum, the higher the percentage of VG you have, the less harsh the hit, the weaker the flavor, and the more clouds you can produce.

There is no “better” or “worse” ratio, as these are all created to best suit various preferences. Here is a brief list of the common ratios found in freebase e-liquids:

● 70/30 PG/VG

● 50/50 PG/VG

● 70/30 VG/PG

● 80/20 VG/PG
